Hormex Rooting Powder #8 (0.8% IBA)
Hormex Rooting Powder #8 is a 0.8% Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA) rooting hormone formulated for moderately difficult-to-root woody and semi-hardwood cuttings. The formula is free of alcohol, dyes and preservatives, and is made in the USA by Hormex, which has produced rooting compounds for more than 65 years.
Cut a 3 to 6 inch stem below a leaf node at a 45 degree angle, moisten the base, dip the cut end about 3/4 inch into the powder, tap off the excess and plant in a rooting cube or other starter medium. The 3/4 oz bottle suits small propagation runs, while the 1 LB container and 6 LB box serve nurseries and commercial propagation facilities.
