General Hydroponics PRO pH Down

PRO pH Down is a professional-grade pH adjuster for commercial facilities that uses a non-mineral acid rather than phosphoric acid, so it will not contribute phosphorus, nitrogen or sulfate to the nutrient recipe. It is formulated at nearly three times the concentration of the retail adjuster, reducing the volume required per correction. The formula is non-corrosive with a zero rating across all HMIS categories and is not HAZMAT listed like many competitive products, which minimizes shipping fees. It is aimed at operators who need to hold a pH setpoint without altering carefully built nutrient ratios.

PRO pH Down is added in very small amounts to the solution being lowered, mixed well, then re-read once the value settles, repeating until the target pH is reached. Typical targets fall in the 5.5 to 6.5 range depending on crop type and growth stage, and recirculating systems should be checked daily. Because it adds no mineral nutrition, it can be used freely in tanks where phosphorus and sulfate loading matter. It is used across rockwool, coco and potting mix production of vegetables, herbs, fruits, blooms, plant material and other high-value crops.
