The pH Control Kit is a complete package for liquid-feed pH management, combining pH Up, pH Down, a bottle of pH Test Indicator and a test vial. It lets an operator measure reservoir pH across a wide spectrum from 4.0 to 8.5 and immediately correct the solution back into the 5.5 to 6.5 window where nutrient uptake is best. The test indicator needs no batteries and no calibration, so it works reliably every time. pH Down is formulated with food-grade phosphoric acid and pH Up with potassium hydroxide and potassium carbonate.

Mix all nutrients into fresh water completely before adjusting pH. Fill the included test vial halfway with the mixed solution, add three drops of the pH Test Indicator and compare the color against the provided chart. Add pH Up if the reading is low or pH Down if it is high, in small amounts, stir thoroughly, then re-test and repeat until the solution sits in the 5.5 to 6.5 range. The adjusters are corrosive, so wear appropriate eye and skin protection, work in a well-ventilated area and store the components tightly sealed and upright away from direct sunlight and children.
