Schrader Air Valve 90 deg - EsyBox Max - SP00006705
This is the right-angle Schrader air valve on the EsyBox Max expansion vessel. DAB's spare parts sheet lists it as (SP) SCHRADER AIR VALVE 90 deg at position 122 (DAB prints the angle with a degree symbol), and the drawing shows it fitted to the water tank at position 123 within the delivery assembly group. It is the point through which the vessel's air precharge is checked and adjusted.
DAB's manual, section 1.4, states that the integrated expansion vessel is preloaded according to the ratio Pair = SP - RP - 0.2 bar, where Pair is the air pressure value in bar, SP is the set point and RP is the reduction of pressure to restart. With the manufacturer's values of SP 3.0 bar and RP 0.3 bar this gives a factory precharge of 2.5 bar. If different SP or RP values are set, DAB says to regulate the valve of the expansion vessel, releasing or letting in air until the equation is satisfied again. DAB's troubleshooting table locates the valve in the technical compartment and tells you to check the air pressure through it when the water pressure on turning on a utility is not immediate.
Fits
- DAB EsyBox Max. DAB's spare parts sheet ESYBOX MAX 45/120 M208-240 PUMP/AUS2, revision N.1, document code 60217359 lists this item at position 122 as (SP) SCHRADER AIR VALVE 90 deg, item no. SP00006705.
- The DAB EsyBox Max instruction manual for North America covers the EsyBox Max 60/120 M, 60/120 T and 85/120 T (manual section 1.5). That manual does not list the 45/120 M208-240 at all, and the spare parts sheet cited here is for the 45/120 M208-240. The two documents cover different model sets.
- Manual section 1.4 gives the same 2 L integrated expansion vessel and the same precharge equation for the EsyBox Max models the manual covers, without distinguishing between them.
Before You Order
- Attention: check the correspondence with the revision of your product. That caution is printed across the header of DAB's spare parts sheet. Check the position number and item number against the sheet issued for your own unit and its revision before you order.
- The only EsyBox Max spare parts list available for this listing is the AU build sheet, ESYBOX MAX 45/120 M208-240 PUMP/AUS2, revision N.1, document code 60217359. DAB has not published a parts sheet in the documents used here for the 60/120 T or 85/120 T, so the item number for three-phase machines is not confirmed by these sources.
- Check whether the vessel itself has failed before replacing the valve. DAB's troubleshooting table states that when checking the air pressure through the valve in the technical compartment, if water comes out, the vessel is broken and the job goes to the assistance service. If no water comes out, restore the air pressure using the equation in section 1.4 instead.
- An incorrect precharge is a setting, not a part fault. DAB lists air pressure in the expansion vessel higher than the system starting pressure as the cause of flow falling to zero before the pump starts, with the remedy being to calibrate the vessel pressure or reconfigure SP and RP.
Often Replaced With
- Water Tank 2 L, SP00006706, position 123. DAB's drawing shows this valve fitted to the tank, and DAB's troubleshooting entry for checking pressure through the valve is the same entry that identifies a broken vessel.
