NemaShield Invivo Beneficial Nematodes

NemaShield Invivo supplies entomopathogenic nematodes on a sponge carrier for biological control of soil and media dwelling insect pests. The nematodes are rinsed from the sponge into water and applied as a drench or through low-pressure spray equipment. Two species are offered individually and as a combined blend, allowing the selection to be matched to the target pest.

Steinernema feltiae is a cruiser species that moves through the growing medium and targets fungus gnat larvae and the soil-dwelling stages of thrips. Steinernema carpocapsae is an ambush species that stays nearer the surface and targets surface-active larvae including caterpillars and weevil larvae. The combined blend covers both behaviours where mixed pest pressure is present. Because nematodes are living organisms, they are shipped refrigerated and should be used promptly on arrival.
