Aeration/Agitation Bucket

The Aeration/Agitation Bucket is a 5 gallon recirculating stock solution bucket with an enclosed pump, sized for the small batch a hand injector actually draws down. It circulates at 0.7 gpm through an eductor, which multiplies the moved volume and keeps water soluble fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides and growth regulators from settling out while you inject. Flip the aeration switch and air is drawn into the passing stream, holding dissolved oxygen at saturation with no demand present - that is the setting for beneficial nematodes and other aerobic organisms. The pump itself runs on 12 V DC in every version; what changes between the options on this page is how that 12 V is delivered.

The complete unit is the bucket, the pump, the aeration switch and the power set. 120V and 240V are the two mains versions - the same bucket with a power pack that steps the local supply down to 12 V DC for safety, so pick the one that matches your receptacle and always run it on a GFCI outlet. The Power cord only options are the power sets on their own, for replacement or to change how an existing bucket is fed. Under 120V, Power cord only is the replacement 120 V transformer and cord for a 120 V bucket. Under 12V DC, Power cord only is the AAB12VCORD battery cordset: a 5 ft lead with an inline fuse and alligator clips that replaces the mains transformer entirely and runs the bucket straight off a customer supplied 12 V DC battery of any size. That cordset is how you take the bucket away from an outlet - out to a field block or onto a cart - and it is the current answer to battery operation, because Dramm no longer builds a bucket with an internal 12 V battery. The battery itself is not included with the cordset.
