Dimlux - Digital Plant Temperature Camera
Brand: Dimlux
Dimlux Digital Plant Temperature Camera
The Dimlux Digital Plant Temperature Camera measures the surface temperature of the leaf canopy with infrared technology, giving Dimlux lighting controls a direct reading of plant temperature rather than air temperature alone. With the camera connected to the Dimlux Maxi Controller, the climate can be controlled on plant temperature: if the plant temperature gets too high the lights are dimmed to keep the stomata open, and in case of a water shortage, for example from a faulty pump, the lights are dimmed or switched off to prevent crop damage.
Combined with the Dimlux temperature and humidity (RH) sensors, the camera lets the Maxi Controller calculate and display vapor pressure deficit (VPD). On Dimlux Xtreme LED MKII fixtures the camera attaches to the fixture with the supplied mount and connects to the OUT2 port, or to the OUT port of a Dimlux Xtreme add-on; the fixture then displays plant surface temperature and its warning light blinks blue or red when the canopy runs too cold or too hot against the set nominal temperature.
