Jiffy RediRooted Aerating Plugs

RediRooted Aerating Plugs by Jiffy are ready-to-use propagation plugs made from a uniform substrate with hundreds of micro air pockets distributed throughout each plug. The air pockets encourage fibrous root growth through the full volume of the plug, and the plugs consistently retain an air content of 30% or more, so they resist compaction even under heavy misting.

The Jiffy Blend 30 substrate of peat, coir and perlite is held together by a food-safe polymer binder, so each plug stays intact through rooting and transplanting and plants can be moved or transplanted earlier to free up bench space. Plugs arrive pre-moistened and pre-charged with fertilizer: set a seed or cutting in the center of each plug, cover the tray if needed and check daily. No added nutrients are needed for the first 7 days, making the trays a fast start for commercial propagation.
