Brand: Certis
AGSIL 16H Potassium Silicate Powder
Overview
AGSIL 16H is a water-soluble potassium silicate powder that supplies available silicon and potassium for stronger plant structure and improved stress tolerance. It dissolves quickly to create an economical silica concentrate for fertigation, foliar, or tank-mix use.
Key Benefits
-
Provides plant-available silicon to support stronger cell walls and stems
-
Helps plants tolerate heat, drought, salinity, and other abiotic stress
-
Supports thicker cuticles and improved leaf durability
-
Compatible with soil, coco, hydroponic, and foliar programs
-
Highly concentrated powder that mixes into a clear liquid concentrate
Guaranteed Analysis
-
Silicon Dioxide (SiO₂): 53%
-
Soluble Potash (K₂O): 32%
Derived from potassium silicate.
How to Mix a Liquid Concentrate
Create a simple stock solution that is easy to dose.
-
Mix 560 g AGSIL 16H per 1 gallon of clean water (or 148 g per liter)
-
Stir until fully dissolved, then store sealed and shake before each use
This yields a practical ~7.6–7.8% silica concentrate for easy measuring.
Application Rates
Use either the liquid concentrate or the dry powder.
-
Using liquid concentrate: 0.25–1 tsp per gallon of irrigation water or foliar spray, depending on crop stage and program intensity
-
Using dry powder: ~1.5 g per gallon of water for soil drench or foliar spray
Always add silica to water first, mix well, then add other nutrients. Avoid direct, undiluted contact with calcium products.
Use Notes
-
Strongly alkaline in concentrate form; wear appropriate PPE when mixing
-
Do not combine concentrated silica directly with calcium or magnesium stock solutions
-
For injector systems, prepare a separate stock tank and confirm stability at working dilution before continuous feed.
Storage and Handling
Keep sealed, dry, and out of reach of children. Rinse tools after use. Follow general chemical handling safety practices.
