Nema Out is a concentrated essential-oil nematicide for plant-parasitic nematodes, made from cinnamon, clove, and cottonseed oil extracts. It controls egg masses, infective juveniles, and adult nematodes in the soil. The low molecular weights of its essential oils allow them to form vapor in soil that kills juvenile and adult nematodes, then prevent hatching of mature eggs, interrupting the nematode life cycle.

Nema Out is a water-soluble emulsion essential oil applied to the soil so the oils can vaporize in the root zone. Manufacturer trial data uses a 0.05 percent solution applied to soil. Published field rates are 0.5 to 2 gallons per acre preplant, rising to 3 to 3.75 gallons per acre under high infestation; 1 to 1.5 quarts per acre after planting on field, row, and vegetable crops; and 1.5 to 3 quarts per acre on fruit trees, nut crops, and grapes.
