Kelpstim, formerly sold as SeaMax, is a liquid kelp fertilizer comprised of humic acid and Ascophyllum nodosum kelp extracts. Kelp naturally contains a wide variety of plant-promoting substances, while humic acid acts as a source of organic matter and assists plants in nutrient absorption. The combined effect enhances micronutrient uptake, increases yields, promotes root development, and increases plant strength and vigor.

Kelpstim is applied as a soil, foliar, or hydroponic input. Soil application is 1 to 2 quarts in at least 30 gallons of water or liquid fertilizer per acre, 2 to 4 times during the growing season. Foliar application is 0.5 to 1 quart with foliar fertilizer in at least 30 gallons of water or liquid fertilizer per acre, 2 to 4 times during the growing season. For hydroponics use 500 to 1,000 ppm.
