Syphonject Hose End Siphon Mixer
The Syphonject is a fixed ratio hose end siphon mixer. Water passing through the body creates the pressure drop that lifts concentrate up a flexible suction tube from a bucket, and the two meet at an average of 20 parts water to 1 part concentrate. The body is glass filled polypropylene, the suction tube ends in a stainless steel filter spring that keeps undissolved solids out, and the check valve that stops water backing into the bucket sits outside the body where it can be replaced. Dramm rates it at 7 gpm at 40 psi with a working range of 10 to 50 psi, and specifies a hose run of under 50 ft between tap and unit.
This page sells the Syphonject as the factory case of 6, which is how it is stocked for a crew or a run of benches rather than for one hose. There is nothing to set on the unit itself: the 20:1 ratio is fixed by the body, so the strength that reaches the crop is decided entirely by how the bucket is mixed. Two site conditions decide whether it will draw at all. The supply has to sit inside the 10 to 50 psi window, and the hose between tap and Syphonject has to stay under 50 ft, because a long hose and a starved supply both kill the pressure drop the siphon depends on. Fit a restricted flow breaker such as the 170PL on the outlet and bring the tap down to about half flow; wide open flow through an unrestricted nozzle will not pull concentrate.

Key Features
- Fixed 20:1 average dilution ratio, so there is no adjuster to drift out of calibration between crews.
- Runs on the pressure drop of the passing water stream, so there is nothing to power, prime or plumb in.
- Glass filled polypropylene body resists fertilizer salts and cleaning chemicals.
- External check valve keeps water out of the concentrate bucket and can be changed without opening the body.
- Stainless steel filter spring on the suction tube keeps grit and undissolved fertilizer out of the siphon.
- Rated 7 gpm at 40 psi over a 10 to 50 psi working range.
- Supplied as a case of 6 for stocking several benches, houses or crews at once.
Ideal Applications
- Liquid feed at the hose on benches and in tunnels
- Mixing and applying compost tea from a bucket
- Running sanitizers and cleaners through a hose during turnaround
- Small blocks and retail areas where plumbing a fixed injector is not justified
- Backup feeding while the main injector is down for service
- Feeding hanging baskets on a hose run where a cart will not reach
Run it with a Dramm 170PL plastic or 170AL aluminum Water Breaker on the outlet to hold the restricted flow it needs, and keep a spare external check valve on the shelf for the ones that get lost in a bucket.
