Dramm Strand Drip Assembly for Capillary Mats

Capillary mats give even sub-irrigation for potted plants, but only if the mat is wetted evenly to begin with. Dramm Drip Strands distribute irrigation water accurately across the mat using perforated tubing combined with a pressure compensating emitter, so the mat saturates uniformly.

The Strand lays water over the top of the capillary mat without getting in the way of the pots sitting on it. Because the mat's water holding capacity and the Strand's flow rate are both known, watering the mat to saturation becomes a simple calculation. The single emitter Strand is plugged at one end, which allows more flexibility in where the tubing is placed on the bench.
