Dramm - ProLine Irrigation Controller
Brand: Dramm
ProLine Irrigation Controller
The ProLine is a modular irrigation controller in a watertight, indoor and outdoor rated enclosure, built around a chassis that takes plug-in output modules. It runs four programs, A through D, with eight start times each and zone run times from 1 minute to 9 hours 55 minutes, and a seasonal adjust that scales every run time at once without touching the underlying schedule. Station count is set by how the chassis is populated, so the number you order is a starting point on the smaller units rather than a ceiling. Programming is done with a control knob and a backlit display in English or Spanish, and an optional cellular upgrade adds monitoring and remote programming from a phone.
Count valves first, then decide how much room you want to grow into. Dramm lists the 4 Station, 8 Station and 12 Station units as expandable, so outputs can be added later with a module instead of replacing the controller. The 12 Station with 12 station base is the same twelve outputs built on a twelve-station chassis rather than an expanded four or eight station one; it costs more up front and is the version to start from when you expect the valve count to keep climbing. The 16 Station, 20 Station and 24 Station units ship fully populated, and 24 outputs is the platform maximum. As a rule of thumb on expansion, 4 output modules take a controller as far as 16 valves and a 12 output module is what carries it to 24.

Key Features
- Four programs with eight start times each, able to stack or run concurrently
- Zone run times from 1 minute to 9 hours 55 minutes, in 1 minute steps up to an hour and 5 minute steps above it
- Seasonal adjust scales run times across the year without editing any zone
- Manual start of a single valve or of an entire program
- Master valve programmable by zone, plus a settable zone-to-zone delay and run-and-soak cycling
- Non-volatile memory holds the program with the power off; the input carries lightning protection
- Screwless terminals and a removable control panel that runs off an optional 9 V cell for programming away from the wall
- Optional cellular upgrade for monitoring and remote programming from a phone; the service package and air card are ordered separately
Ideal Applications
- Greenhouse bench and bay irrigation on 24 V solenoid valves
- Nursery and container yard blocks where each zone has a different water demand
- Drip and micro-irrigation zones assigned to program D for low flow and long run times, separate from short overhead cycles
- Outdoor perennial and field blocks, using the watertight indoor and outdoor rated housing
- Sites that need remote oversight, using the cellular upgrade
- Retrofits where the valve count is expected to grow, started on an expandable chassis
Add outputs later with the Dramm ProLine station expansion modules, PL-SLM4-1600 and PL-SLM12-1600, and run the controller on Dramm solenoid valves feeding PCAS drippers, dribble rings or JetRain nozzles.
