Poly Tubing Clips, Clamps and Grommets

Four separate installation parts that close, hold and dress a polyethylene irrigation line. The figure 8 end clamp folds the end of a 16mm line back on itself and locks it shut, so a run can be flushed and then closed without a fitting. The tube clip carries a fir tree barb on one side and a snap-open ring on the other: drive the barb into a 1/4 in hole drilled 1/2 in deep, turn the clip to the angle you want, then snap 16mm tubing into the ring. The No. 400 top hat grommet drops into a hole drilled 14mm or 9/16 in through rigid pipe and seals a barbed take-off into it, so the pipe never has to be threaded. The wire tie is the general purpose 8.5 in black tie Dramm supplies for bundling tubing, drop lines and valve wire along a bench or rail.

Choose by the job in front of you, because these four do not substitute for each other. The figure 8 end clamp is the cheapest way to close a 16mm lateral you still want to be able to open and flush; it needs no hole and no tool. Pick the tube clip when tubing has to be held off a bench leg, post or rail at a set angle and you can drill into that structure: the fir tree barb needs a 1/4 in hole about 1/2 in deep, so it will not work on thin sheet or on anything you cannot drill into. The top hat grommet is the only part here that goes through a pipe wall rather than around the tubing, and the hole size is the whole decision: drill 14mm or 9/16 in, no larger, or the grommet will not seal. Wire ties at 8.5 in are for dressing rather than support, so they will bundle a lateral to a wire or a frame but will not hold spacing or angle the way a clip does.
