Poly Pipe Thread Adaptor
Thread adaptors step between the threaded plumbing that feeds a bench and whatever is on the other side of the joint. Dramm lists the male pipe thread to insert adaptor among the standard end fittings for a PolyRail or JetRain lateral, where it is what the poly actually lands on at the supply end of the run. The second part on this page is a straight threaded reducer with no barb on it at all. Read the Connection option before you order, because only one of the two takes tubing.
Pick by what is on each side of the joint. Choose 1/2 in MPT x 25mm Insert Barb when a threaded port has to feed polyethylene lateral line directly: the 1/2 in male pipe thread screws into the port and the stepped Insert Barb pushes into 25mm poly, the larger of the two lateral sizes Dramm runs. That end is a barb, so allow a clamp over the tube. Choose 1 in Male Thread x 3/4 in Female Thread when both sides of the joint are threaded and you are stepping a 1 in outlet down to a 3/4 in valve, fitting or lateral; it has no barbed end and will not accept tubing. If you are joining poly to poly rather than thread to poly, a barbed coupling is the fitting you want instead of either of these.
