Overhead Line Drip Control - Run-Out Valve and No-Drip Riser

Two parts that stop an overhead line dripping on the crop after the zone shuts off. Dramm recommends using its overhead nozzles together with Run-Out Valves and No-Drip Risers to control that drip. They solve the same problem from opposite ends: one drains the pipe, the other lifts the nozzle above it.

These are complements rather than alternatives, and they are bought on completely different quantity bases. The Run-Out Valve is a line-end part - one per pipeline run. Dramm designs it to be installed at the end of a 1 in or 3/4 in PVC pipeline, where it opens when the water is turned off and lets the line run out, eliminating drip. The No-Drip Riser is a per-nozzle part, so it is ordered in the same quantity as the nozzles: it elevates a Dramm irrigation nozzle 2 1/4 in above the pipeline so that when flow stops, the water left in the riser falls back into the pipe rather than out of the nozzle. A well set-up overhead line usually uses both.
