Nozzle Insertion Tool for JetRain and JetFog
The hand T-tool used to push a nozzle squarely into a hole punched in PE tubing. Both of Dramm's installation manuals call for it at the same step and for the same two reasons: it keeps the nozzle and nozzle tip from being damaged as it is driven home, and it keeps the nozzle straight. A nozzle pushed in crooked eggs out the hole, and an egged hole leaks from behind the nozzle and has to be cut out and repaired with couplings. It is a one-off purchase for an install crew, not a consumable.
One choice: which nozzle system the tool is for. Order the JetRain option to install JetRain nozzles and the JetFog option to install JetFog nozzles - the two nozzle bodies are different shapes and each tool is cut to seat on its own. If you run both nozzle types in the same house, you need both. One thing to check before ordering: Dramm's own naming is inconsistent here. Dramm's two installation manuals swap the tool names between the JetRain and JetFog systems, and the tool is not listed on dramm.com at all. The option on this page follows Dramm's current part numbering. If the tool has to match one already in your shop, confirm with Dramm against the nozzle it seats rather than against a name.
