Dramm - Micro Tube Shut-Off Valve
Brand: Dramm
Micro Tube Shut-Off Valve
A barb-by-barb mini valve that splices into micro tube between the lateral and a single emitter, dribble ring or stake. Dramm describes the 1/4 in version plainly: a barbed microvalve for drip irrigation that allows individual pressure compensated drippers to be turned off. One pot, basket or bench position comes out of service without capping the line or pulling the dropper.
The only decision is barb size, and it is set by the tube you are cutting into. The 0.25 in barb x barb valve suits Dramm 0.191 in OD leader tube - the tube PCAS emitters and droppers use - and is the version Dramm publishes as the 1/4 in Microvalve. The 0.12 in barb x barb valve is the smaller inline mini valve for the fine dribble-tube bores, the 0.045, 0.060 and 0.075 in ID tubing. Hold the tube against the barb before ordering in quantity; a valve one size out will either not seat or will not seal.
