L-5 Spray Lance Control Valve

The operator control that fits at the inlet end of the Dramm L-5 extension spray lance. These are chemical application parts, not water fittings - the L-5 is a 28 to 41 in adjustable lance carrying a ring of 5 conical nozzles, rated to a maximum of 500 psi and flowing 0.5 gpm at that pressure. The valve is what the operator actually holds and works all day.

The choice is how you want to control flow, and the two are used quite differently. The 1/4 Turn Valve is a ball valve you set and leave; Dramm describes it as adjusting flow to the desired output, so it doubles as a coarse flow trim for a long pass through a house. The Trigger Valve is a squeeze trigger, which Dramm sums up as easier on and off - the right choice for spot work where the operator is starting and stopping constantly and wants the spray to stop when the hand opens. The Trigger Valve is a full high-pressure trigger assembly rather than a ball valve, which is why it costs several times as much.
