The complete JetRain nozzle: a color-coded, pin-style cone and Dramm's low pressure Clean Out Check Valve, supplied assembled and ready to install. It throws an even 360 degree pattern and is used for propagation mist and overhead irrigation over greenhouse benches, propagation beds and container ground beds. The check valve is rated 15-50 psi; it keeps the line from dripping on the crop between cycles and holds every nozzle on a run shut until the same pressure is reached, which is what keeps the first and last nozzle putting down the same water. Color sets the flow rate and the connection option sets how the nozzle joins the line.
Two things to pick. Color is the flow rate, measured by Dramm at 40 psi: White and Blue are both 0.48 gpm (1.8 L/min) with 7 ft maximum coverage, which Dramm classes as propagation mist and recommends alternating along a run for the most even coverage; Red is 0.79 gpm (3.0 L/min) with 11 ft maximum coverage for mist and irrigation; Yellow is 1.37 gpm (5.2 L/min) with 18 ft maximum coverage for heavier irrigation. Connection is how the nozzle attaches: Barbed punches into PE tubing, including tubing carried in Dramm PolyRail, while Threaded taps into PVC or aluminum pipe. Do the flow arithmetic before ordering - nozzle count times the color's gpm has to fit both the lateral and the supply, and moving from White or Blue to Yellow nearly triples the draw per nozzle.
