Dramm - JetFog Low Pressure Fog Nozzle
Brand: Dramm
JetFog Low Pressure Fog Nozzle
Dramm's low pressure fog nozzle. It breaks water into a hollow cone of very fine droplets at ordinary line pressure, so it does not need the high pressure pump a fogging system usually implies. Published droplet size is 80 microns at 50 psi and published output is 5.8 L/h (1.5 gph) per tip, which is the combination that makes it usable for humidity work: a lot of evaporative surface for very little water on the leaf. A silicone diaphragm check valve is built in to stop dripping between cycles, and both the tips and the diaphragm are replaceable rather than the whole nozzle.
Two choices. Outlets set the total flow, because every outlet carries the same 5.8 L/h (1.5 gph) tip: 1 outlet is 5.8 L/h (1.5 gph), 2 outlet is 11.6 L/h (3 gph), 4 outlet is 23.2 L/h (6 gph) and 5 outlet is 29 L/h (7.5 gph). Pick by how much water the zone needs and how you want it distributed - a 4 or 5 outlet body concentrates that volume at one point in the line and one punched hole, while the same volume in single nozzles spreads it along the run. Connection is the inlet: the 3mm Barbed inlet punches into PE tubing or hangs below baskets from a leader tube, and the 3/8 inch Whitworth Threaded inlet goes into PVC or a riser assembly. On pressure, Dramm's own published figures do not agree - the JetFog product page gives 50 to 70 psi with a 50 psi minimum, while the JetFog data sheet gives 50 to 60 psi. What all of them agree on is 50 psi at the nozzle as the floor, and that is also the pressure the 80 micron droplet size is quoted at.

Key Features
- Produces an 80 micron fog at line pressure, with no high pressure pump in the system
- Built-in silicone diaphragm check valve stops dripping between cycles
- Tips and diaphragm are replaceable, so a plugged nozzle is serviced rather than binned
- One, two, four and five outlet bodies built from the same tip, so flow is set by outlet count
- Barbed and threaded inlets cover PE tubing, PVC and riser assemblies
- Outlets on multi-way bodies can be blanked off to trim output
Ideal Applications
- Greenhouse humidification
- Mist cooling of greenhouses and headhouses
- Propagation and germination chambers
- Poultry and hog barn cooling
- PolyRail-supported PE fogging lines
- Drops hung below baskets from a leader tube, using the barbed inlet
Replacement tips, blank tips, the silicone diaphragm, the press-fit manifolds and the JetFog service tools are all sold separately, and Dramm pairs JetFog with its PolyRail extrusion and MistTime misting controller to make up a complete cooling or humidification system.
