Dramm - Hydra Drench Adaptor
Brand: Dramm
Hydra Drench Adaptor
The MS40-DA turns a Dramm Hydra sprayer into a drench wand. Dramm builds it from a 24 in aluminum Handi-Reach handle with a 170AL cast aluminum Water Breaker nozzle on the end, a Dramm 300 brass shut-off valve at the grip, and a male stainless steel quick connect on the inlet. That quick connect is the same coupling Dramm fits to its quick connect trigger guns, so on a hose already set up for one the gun pulls off by hand and the adaptor clips on in its place. What changes is the delivery: instead of atomizing the batch onto foliage, the water breaker puts it into the pot as a soft aerated flow the media will take without channeling.
There is one build, and the 24 in wand length is the part of it worth thinking about before you order. It is long enough to reach into a bench or over the front row of a bed with the operator upright, and short enough to work a hanging basket line without fighting the structure. Everything needed to drench is in the assembly, so nothing else has to be bought to put it to work: handle, valve, nozzle and coupling in one part number. The one half it does not supply is the other side of the coupling. The adaptor carries the male stainless quick connect, so the hose end has to carry the matching female half; a Hydra ordered with one of the quick connect trigger guns, MS40-TG-PQC or MS40-TG-MQC, already has it and the swap takes seconds, while a hose that still ends in a thread needs that female half fitted first. Flow is set at the 300 valve under your hand and at the sprayer's own regulator, so a crew can drench and go back to spraying without re-plumbing anything.

Key Features
- Swaps for the trigger gun on a quick connect hose by hand, with no tools and no thread to cross
- 24 in aluminum wand reaches into the pot without the operator bending over the bench
- 170AL cast aluminum Water Breaker gives a soft aerated flow that does not wash media out of the container
- Dramm 300 brass shut-off at the grip gives fingertip on and off and a coarse flow trim
- Male stainless steel quick connect, the same coupling Dramm fits to its quick connect trigger guns
- Drenches straight from the batch already in the sprayer, so the solution is not mixed twice
- One part number covers the whole assembly: handle, valve, nozzle and coupling
Ideal Applications
- Drenching containers with a fungicide, insecticide or biological off a Hydra cart sprayer
- Applying growth regulators and fertilizer solutions as a soil drench
- Crews that spray and drench the same batch on one trip down an aisle
- Hanging basket lines where the wand has to reach into the pot from the aisle
- Watering in a drench after a foliar pass without changing tanks
- Any Hydra already fitted with a quick connect trigger gun
It runs on the Hydra 50 Gallon Cart Sprayer and the rest of the Hydra line, swaps places with the Hydra Sprayer Trigger Gun in its quick connect form, and shares the same hose as the L-5 extension lance.
