Goof Plug for Barbed Fittings

A goof plug seals a hole in polyethylene line that should not be there: one punched in the wrong place, one left behind when a dripper or nozzle is moved, or one that went in crooked and now weeps behind the fitting. The plug pushes into the hole the same way a barbed fitting does and stays there, so a bad punch costs you a plug instead of a length of tubing. Dramm's 3mm plug is sized to the 3 mm hole its punch blades cut and to the 3 mm barbed fittings and nozzles that go into that hole, which is the standard hole across its barbed range. The 6mm plug seals the larger 6 mm hole. Both are supplied as a Bag of 10.

Match the plug to the hole, not to the tubing. Order the 3mm plug when the hole was cut with a Dramm 3 mm punch blade or when you are closing the hole left by a 3 mm barbed fitting, dripper or misting nozzle; that covers the great majority of holes in a Dramm bench or PolyRail lateral. Order the 6mm plug when the hole is the larger 6 mm size. Check the hole before you order if it has been re-punched or pulled out of round, because an undersize plug will weep and an oversize one will not start; where a hole is too far gone to plug at all, Dramm's own repair route is to cut the line and splice in two barbed repair couplings instead. Both sizes ship as a Bag of 10 and the price shown is per bag, so a handful can live in the installer's pocket and the rest stay on the cart.
