ColorStorm Impulse Sprinkler

Both mountings on this page carry the same all brass impulse head, adjustable from a partial arc to a full circle and wetting up to 70 ft in diameter. What changes is how that head is held up. The tripod stands on its own retractable stake feet and lifts the head more than 5 ft off the ground, with the adjustable height set on a sliding center tube. The post mount is a wing bolt clamp that grips a U, T or round metal post up to 1-1/2 in across, so the head sits wherever a post already stands.

Choose on what you have to mount to. The tripod base is the one to buy where there is nothing to fix to: it plants on retractable stakes, its adjustable height puts the brass head above a crop or shrub row, it folds to 46 in for transport at 3 lb, and Dramm rates it at 2.3 to 3.8 gpm with a maximum of 40 psi; it is sold each. The post mount with impulse head assumes fence posts, stakes or hoop house uprights are already down the block, clamps on in seconds with two wing bolts, and comes as a case of 6, which is the quantity a row of posts actually needs. Both throw the same 70 ft circle from the same brass head, so the decision is about support and quantity rather than about the spray itself, and both are blue.
