The AME350GS is the protective guard set for the Dramm AME 350mm (14") HAF Fan. AME Fans ship without guards by default because Dramm engineers fan guards reduce the capacity of any fan — when AME fans are placed high enough (typically 8 ft. or above), no guard is required. However, when fans must be installed within reaching distance, guards must be added for safety. The AME350GS Guard Set is sized specifically for the 350/4 fan (14" / 350mm diameter). It provides a wire mesh barrier on both the intake and exhaust sides of the fan housing, protecting workers and equipment from contact with the rotating polypropylene blade while maintaining the airflow characteristics of the AME aerodynamic design. This guard set is the correct accessory for any AME 350mm HAF Fan that will be hung below 8 ft., used in walkways, mounted near work areas, or installed in any location where personnel could reach the blade. The guards do reduce overall fan output somewhat — Dramm recommends mounting the fan high whenever possible and only adding guards when site conditions require them.
