This is the EsyBox Max integrated expansion vessel. DAB's spare parts sheet lists it as (SP) WATER TANK 2L at position 123, and the manual, section 1.4, states that the system is complete with an integrated expansion vessel with a total capacity of 2 L. DAB is explicit that it is not a function of this vessel to ensure a water reserve that reduces interventions of the system, and that an additional vessel of whatever capacity you prefer can be connected to a point on the delivery system, never a suction point.

The vessel mounts vertically on the delivery assembly (position 120), sealed to the delivery curve by an O-ring and held by a ring, a retaining collar and a metal fork. DAB's manual gives a nine-step replacement procedure in section 13.5: disconnect the power supply; drain the section of system the tank is mounted on, closing the valve nearest the pump, opening the drain plug of the delivery manifold and loosening the filling cap in the technical compartment so air can be drawn in; pull off the casing, which is held by a double cylindrical snap-on coupling; remove the retaining screw and the metal fork; remove the retaining screw with a torx screwdriver and open the retaining collar on its hinges; pull the tank upwards until the O-ring disengages from its seat on the delivery curve, noting that the O-ring will make some resistance; slacken the screw until the ring on the tank is idle; take the ring off; and check the O-ring, replacing it if damaged, unless it is already supplied mounted on the DAB spare part, in which case it can be scrapped together with the vessel being replaced.

• The DAB EsyBox Max instruction manual for North America covers the EsyBox Max 60/120 M, 60/120 T and 85/120 T (manual section 1.5). That manual does not list the 45/120 M208-240 at all, and the spare parts sheet cited here is for the 45/120 M208-240. The two documents cover different model sets.
• Manual section 1.4 gives the 2 L integrated expansion vessel and its precharge equation for the EsyBox Max models the manual covers without distinguishing between them, and section 13.5 gives one replacement procedure for the product. That is the strongest documented case for a part shared across the range in this group.

Before You Order

• Attention: check the correspondence with the revision of your product. That caution is printed across the header of DAB's spare parts sheet. Check the position number and item number against the sheet issued for your own unit and its revision before you order.
• The only EsyBox Max spare parts list available for this listing is the AU build sheet, ESYBOX MAX 45/120 M208-240 PUMP/AUS2, revision N.1, document code 60217359. DAB has not published a parts sheet in the documents used here for the 60/120 T or 85/120 T, so the item number for three-phase machines is not confirmed by these sources.
• Confirm the vessel is the fault, not the precharge. DAB's troubleshooting table gives two causes for water pressure not being immediate on turning on a utility: an empty vessel from insufficient air pressure, or a broken diaphragm. The test is to check the air pressure through the valve in the technical compartment. If water comes out, the vessel is broken. If not, restore the air pressure to the equation in section 1.4.
• Set the precharge after fitting. DAB's equation is Pair = SP - RP - 0.2 bar. With the manufacturer's SP of 3.0 bar and RP of 0.3 bar, that is 2.5 bar.
• DAB's procedure requires the system to be drained and a torx screwdriver and pliers to be on hand (manual section 13.5, steps 2 to 5).
• DAB's step 9 notes that the O-ring may already be supplied mounted on the DAB spare part. Check what arrives before ordering the O-ring kit separately.
