Fast acting low pH powder cleaner for metal oxide and metal-organic fouling.

RoClean P903 is a fast acting, low pH powder cleaner designed to remove iron, manganese, aluminum, metal-organic complexes, clays, carbonate and phosphate scale. It contains a proprietary blend of buffers, chelants and reducing agents to dissolve metals and phosphate scale, plus dispersants that break up particles and lift them off the membrane surface. Unlike other marketed metal cleaners it contains no materials that could emit noxious odors.

Fill the cleaning tank with RO permeate or deionized water and heat to the maximum temperature acceptable under the membrane manufacturer guidelines. Add enough P903 for a 2 percent solution by weight for moderate to severe fouling or 1 percent for mild fouling, then recirculate to mix. Run through each stage individually for at least 60 minutes, with an optional soak of up to 8 hours. If the recirculating solution turns discolored or turbid, which is common with iron loading, discard as much as 15 percent of the volume. Rinse each pressure vessel with RO permeate before returning to service.

• Unopened shelf life 12 months when stored between 45 and 100 F (7 to 35 C)
• Aluminum, brass, copper and mild steel are not recommended for use with this product
