Spear LEP Bioinsecticide

Spear LEP is a peptide-based bioinsecticide for control of lepidopteran larvae such as caterpillars, loopers and worms. Its active ingredient, GS-omega/kappa-Hxtx-Hv1a, is a new IRAC Group 32 mode of action that acts on the insect central nervous system, combining the safety profile of a biological with efficacy comparable to conventional insecticides.

Spear LEP must be tank mixed with a low label rate of a Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) product and is applied as a foliar spray in field, orchard and greenhouse crops. With a 4-hour REI, 0-day PHI and an exemption from residue tolerances, it fits tight harvest schedules and IPM programs.
