Tri-clamp/ Tri Clover Single Hinge Clamp

BVV™ recommends tightening all Standard Pressure Clamps (Non-High Pressure) to finger tight and then use either a screwdriver or wrench to tighten them approximately 2 full turns to achieve the torque specified on the data sheet. All tightening should be accordance with the data sheet. It is not recommended to overtighten the clamp and bottom it out as this will cause the gasket to be over-compressed and put too much tension on the clamp threads, which could cause it to fail. Overtightening can also cause stretching on the clamp reducing its operational effectiveness.
