Hormodin 1 is a general-purpose rooting powder containing 0.1% indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), a synthetic auxin that induces root formation on cuttings. OHP notes that enhanced rooting reduces propagation bench time and plant loss, and the dry powder dip offers zero disease migration between cuttings.

Hormodin 1 is intended for propagators rooting roses, carnations, poinsettias, some species of shrubs and most greenhouse plants and soft herbaceous cuttings. Application follows a simple dip, tap and stick process: moisten the base of the cutting, dip it in the powder, tap off the excess and stick it into the rooting medium.
