LALNIX ACT DC

LALNIX ACT DC is a biological nematicide used to control plant-parasitic nematodes, the microscopic, worm-like organisms that feed on plant roots and can cause extensive crop damage. It is based on a naturally occurring fungus that is a highly effective parasite of nematodes at all life stages, especially immobile stages such as eggs, cysts, and infectious juveniles. It is an excellent IPM tool that is not harmful to non-target or beneficial species, the soil profile, or the environment.

LALNIX ACT DC can be used pre-plant, at transplant, or post-planting in field and greenhouse crops. Spores of the fungus adhere to nematode eggs or to the bodies of nematodes as they move through the soil, then germinate, penetrate, and engulf the nematode over several days, killing it by consuming its body contents. It is typically delivered through irrigation or mechanical methods that concentrate the spores in the plant root zone.
