The breathable sidewall air-prunes roots as they reach the edge, producing a denser, more fibrous root mass than the circling roots that form against rigid plastic. Drainage is excellent and the fabric does not trap heat.

The tan fabric reflects more light and absorbs less radiant heat than black, which helps moderate root-zone temperature in high-light placements.
