The Dramm K-30/20 BIO PulsFOG is a high-capacity thermal fogger for fast chemical application in large greenhouses, livestock facilities and storage areas. The K-30/20 BIO is built around the patented PulsFOG BIO system that allows the thermal application of bio-rational and other heat-sensitive products without damaging them. The system uses a secondary tank filled with plain water to cool the exhaust gases before the chemical injection point, so heat-sensitive solutions (biopesticides, biological controls, certain vaccines) can be fogged through the same 101-horsepower pulse-jet engine that powers the standard K-30. The K-30/20 BIO can treat up to 210,000 square feet and will fog 10,000 square feet in as little as 10 minutes. The fog is propelled up to 200 feet from the operator, which means the applicator can stay out of the chemical plume — a major safety advantage versus conventional sprayers. This fast-fogging method allows for very quick application from a distance, reducing labor and chemical exposure. The unit holds two 55-liter tanks (one for chemical solution, one for the BIO cooling water) and a 20-liter fuel tank good for hours of continuous operation. Standard ignition is via manual prime valve. PulsFOG units require the addition of a carrier solution (such as Dramm VK-II or NutriFOG) mixed into the chemical and water mixture for best operation; Dramm can recommend the proper solution for the application.
