PCE High Flow Pressure Compensated Emitter

PCE emitters are the high-flow end of Dramm's pressure-compensated range, in 16, 24 and 32 litres per hour. They pick up where the PCAS emitters stop, which is 12 lph. Pressure compensation is what keeps output steady along a run rather than letting the near end over-water while the far end starves.

All three flows are the same price, so this is purely a decision about volume per plant per hour - there is no cost penalty for going up a size and no saving in going down. Work from container volume and the length of your irrigation window: the larger the pot and the shorter the window, the further up the ladder you go. The other route to these is fitting count - a single 24 or 32 lph emitter feeding a 2 or 4 way manifold puts fewer punched holes in the lateral than four separate emitters, which is fewer places to leak. If you need less than 16 lph, the PCAS range covers 2 to 12 lph.
