The Dramm Osmile Professional Soaker Hose releases water slowly and evenly from the tap end to the far end of the run, so a long bed waters uniformly instead of soaking the first few feet and starving the rest. It is 5/8 in inside diameter and 1 in outside diameter, and every length ships with standard brass garden hose couplers, so it drops onto the hose bibs, timers and manifolds already in the house. Dramm makes the hose from recycled material as part of its water-conserving line. Because it seeps rather than sprays, water reaches the root zone and the foliage stays dry.
There are two choices. Length is the finished hose: 50 ft and 100 ft suit bench rows, perimeter beds and short blocks, 250 ft runs a full row or hedge line without a coupling in the middle, and 75 ft sits between the two for medium bays. Pack Type is the order unit. Each is a single hose for a spot repair or a small block, and is offered on the 50 ft, 100 ft and 250 ft lengths. Pallet is the factory pallet of one length and is how volume moves, with 48 hoses on a 50 ft pallet, 36 on a 75 ft pallet, 24 on a 100 ft pallet and 10 on a 250 ft pallet. The 75 ft hose is a pallet line only, so for small quantities in that range order the 50 ft or 100 ft hose instead.
