Dramm - HydraSkid Sprayer
Brand: Dramm
HydraSkid Sprayer
The HydraSkid puts a Hydra sprayer on a rigid steel skid instead of a cart, with fork placement designed in so the whole unit can be lifted into a pickup bed or onto a trailer. All operating functions sit at one end: the engine or motor, pump, pressure regulator, gauge, filter and drain are grouped together just below the reel. Tank size, power source and reel count are all live choices on this page, so the range runs from a 50 gallon single reel machine to a 100 gallon dual reel corrosion resistant build.
Three choices, and they are linked. Tank size: the 50 gallon builds are single reel only, and dual reel is offered on the 100 gallon frame. Power: the Honda gas builds use a 5.5 HP gasoline engine at 3600 RPM close-coupled to the pump and deliver 7 GPM, while the electric builds use Dramm's 1.5 HP TEFC motor and deliver 4 GPM. Take gas for outdoor and field work with no power drop; take electric where exhaust indoors is the problem and the lower flow is acceptable. On this page electric appears twice, as a 50 gallon single reel build and as a 100 gallon dual reel CRF build. Hose is a live choice at 150 ft, 200 ft or 250 ft, and on the dual reel builds that length goes on each reel - nothing on this page is fixed at 150 ft. CRF stands for Corrosion Resistant Fittings, Dramm's version that replaces the brass fittings and manifolds with stainless or plated components for use with oxidizers such as ZeroTol and other peroxide chemistry, and here it is only built on the 100 gallon dual reel units.

Key Features
- Rigid steel skid with fork placement for loading into a pickup bed or onto a cart
- All controls grouped at one end below the reel - engine or motor, pump, regulator, gauge, filter and drain
- Triplex piston pump close-coupled to the power unit - no belt, chain or gear drive
- Up to 550 psi through a fully adjustable regulator on gas and electric alike
- Sumped tank with an anti-vortex baffle keeps pressure up as the tank empties
- Large tank opening with a filter basket for clean fills
- Convex reel with lock and variable tension drag stops birdnesting and freewheeling
Ideal Applications
- Spray work that has to move between sites in a pickup bed or on a trailer
- Nursery and greenhouse crop protection where floor space rules out a wheeled cart
- Insecticide, fungicide, growth regulator and fertilizer application
- Drench work with a drench adaptor in place of the spray gun
- Disinfectant and sanitation passes between crop cycles
- Oxidizer programs such as ZeroTol and peroxide chemistry, on the CRF builds
The same pump and power options on wheels are the Hydra 50 Gallon Cart Sprayer and the Hydra SprayTrax 50 and 100 Gallon sprayers, and BlueFlex replacement spray hose, the L-5 extension lance and the drench adaptor are sold separately.
