The Dramm AME 400mm Horizontal Air Flow (HAF) Fan brings efficiency, flexibility, and simplicity to greenhouse air movement. Utilizing an aerodynamic, wind tunnel tested housing and a high-efficiency sealed motor, the AME fan is engineered to maximize the air flow potential of any growing space. When combined with Dramm's variable speed controllers, the AME Fans offer unmatched flexibility in air flow as plants grow and mature. Because of their shrouded, aerodynamic design and high-efficiency motor, Air Movement Efficiency (AME) fans cover greater distances with better, more even air speeds. The AME Fan design provides leverage for air movement — the result is not only increased forward propulsion but a pull from behind the fan as well. This helps to even air speeds by creating momentum throughout the house. The result is fewer fans needed and an increase in efficacy with a reduction in electrical costs. The 400/4 is the 16" (400mm) model in the AME range. At a tested 230V, the 400/4 spins at 1,648 RPM, draws 250 watts (nominal 0.9A, max 1.2A), and delivers 2,860 CFM (5,310 m³/h) at 50 dB(A). The aerodynamic PVC housing directs air, the molded polypropylene fan blades are durable and reversible, and the sealed motor runs quieter with a longer life. The anti-corrosion plastic housing and blades resist greenhouse humidity and chemicals, and thermal overload protection is built into the motor. The Dramm AME Horizontal Air Flow System performs best when sized to fit a particular situation. Dramm technical personnel take into account many different variables in each greenhouse before designing a customized layout. The AME fans and Controllers can be connected to an external climate control computer for automated speed regulation. AME Fans do not come with guards — these reduce the capacity of any fan. When placed high enough (typically 8 ft. or above), no guards are required. For lower-hanging installations, AME guard sets are available separately. Dramm AME fans are CSA US Certified.
