Dab Pumps - Verty Nova Narrow Pit Sump Pump with Vertical Float 115V
Brand: Dab Pumps
DAB Verty Nova Vertical Float Submersible Sump Pump
The DAB Verty Nova is a 115 V single phase submersible pump with the float switch built into the body rather than hung off the side on a tether. That is the whole point of the design: with no arm to swing, the pump works in pits as small as 7.9 in by 7.9 in, where a tethered float pump would jam against the wall or short cycle. The switch is a vertical float behind a sliding cover, so it can be reached and cleaned without pulling the pump apart, and a lever on the body selects manual or automatic operation. In manual mode the pump primes and starts at a water level of only 0.4 to 0.6 in and will suck down to 0.1 in, which is as close to a dry floor as a submersible gets. The motor is thermally protected and cooled well enough that DAB rates it to keep running while only partially submerged. Each pump ships with a power cable and plug, a non return valve and a 4-step fitting.
Verty Nova is built for grey water without fibres and clear water carrying particles up to 0.2 in, which makes it the right pump for a tight residential sump, a laundry or utility basin, a stairwell or lightwell drain, a lift pit, a boat well, or emptying a tank, pool or excavation. Two models cover the range: the 206 M at 1/4 HP for ordinary basin duty, and the 406 M at 1/2 HP when the discharge run is long or the lift is high.
