DAB calls this part COMPLETE NVR on its EsyBox Mini 3 spare parts lists, which is DAB spelling for the pump non-return valve. The DAB instruction manual states that the system has an integrated non-return valve which is necessary for correct operation, and that the presence of solid bodies or sand in the water could cause malfunctioning of the valve and therefore of the system. The manual says that if you notice abnormal operation of the non-return valve it can be extracted from the system and cleaned and/or replaced. In DAB troubleshooting, a faulty non-return valve is one of the listed causes of a pump that starts without a utility request, and the remedy given is to service the non-return valve.

DAB reaches it from the special maintenance compartment: remove the access door on Face F by disengaging its 2 fixing screws with the accessory tool, unscrew the cap, then extract the cartridge with pliers without rotating it, gripping it by the jumper provided for the purpose. DAB notes that refitting the cartridge takes the force needed to compress its O-rings.

• DAB instruction manual, non-return valve maintenance: should one or more O-rings be lost or damaged during maintenance operations on the non-return valve, they must be replaced, otherwise the system might not work correctly.
• DAB advises cleaning the valve under running water and checking it for damage first, replacing it only if necessary.
• How to check your own pump. DAB keeps the technical data plate inside the technical compartment.
