The DAB FEKA is a 115 V single phase submersible pump for wastewater and rainwater, redesigned for the fortieth year of FEKA production. Where the NOVA is a clear water pump, the FEKA is built to pass solids: DAB rates the free passage at 1 in, so light grey and black wastewater, laundry discharge, washdown and rainwater carrying debris move through the impeller instead of blocking it. The pump body and suction grid are technopolymer, sealing is a triple ring arrangement in an oil bath, the motor case is AISI 304 stainless steel and the rotor shaft is AISI 431 stainless steel. The motor is a continuous duty asynchronous submersible type on oversized ball bearings with thermal protection built into every single phase version, and DAB rates the pump for dry running of up to 1 minute. MA models are the automatic versions with an integrated float switch; MNA models are the manual versions supplied without a float. All four models use a 1-1/4 in NPT discharge and a 16 ft SJTOW cord.

FEKA suits fixed or mobile installation wherever the water is not clean: basement laundry and utility basins, workshop and garage floor drains, gravity-fed grey water lift, wash bays, rainwater sumps that collect leaf litter and grit, farm and stable washdown, and flood response where the water has picked up debris on its way in. DAB sets the minimum intake level at 1.5 in, which is the trade-off you accept for a 1 in solids passage. Pick the 300 for ordinary basin duty and the 600 when the lift is high or the run is long.
