DAB CRL 5 Sediment Filter Cartridge

The CRL 5 is a 5 in washable mesh sediment cartridge rated at 60 micron. It is the reusable element for the DAB FA 5 CLEAR clear filter housing: rather than being thrown away when it loads up, the mesh is pulled out, rinsed clean and put back, which suits sites with heavy sand or silt where a disposable cartridge would be consumed quickly and expensively.

At 60 micron it is a coarse strainer, sized to catch sand, grit and suspended solids that damage pump seals, block drip emitters and foul downstream treatment equipment. It is the usual first stage on well and surface water systems. Fitted in the clear FA 5 CLEAR bowl, the loading level is visible from outside, so cleaning intervals can be set by what you can actually see rather than by a calendar. For fine polishing instead of coarse straining, the CF5 string wound 20 micron cartridge fits the same housing.
