DAB Clear Answer Submersible Clean Water Pump

The DAB Clear Answer is a 115 V single phase submersible pump for clean water, published by DAB as a pond and water feature pump: circulating water in garden ponds, driving waterfalls, and running fountains and play water features. It installs either vertically or horizontally, so it can lie on a pond floor or stand in a basin. The pump body, top body and base are glass-filled polypropylene, the impeller is Noryl, the upper and lower motor casings are cast aluminum and the rotor shaft is quenched AISI 416 stainless steel running in a triple lip NBR seal. The motor is an induction type, closed and cooled by the liquid being pumped, with built-in thermic overload protection and a capacitor permanently in circuit. Three sizes cover the range, from 31 GPM up to 70 GPM. None of the three is supplied with a float switch - DAB publishes no float on this family - so if you need level control, plan on an external switch or controller.

DAB's published application for Clear Answer is water circulation rather than intermittent basin pump-out: garden ponds, waterfalls, streams and spillways, fountains and architectural water features, and continuous turnover in tanks and holding basins. DAB's stated liquid is pond water without fibres: clear water carrying particles up to 1/3 in, within each model's rated size. All three models share a 1-1/4 in NPT discharge, a 16 ft cord and a 16 ft maximum submersion.
