pHylo Water Buffering Agent

pHylo from Chemical Dynamics is a water buffering agent and multi-purpose adjuvant for use with most pesticides that require a low water pH to slow hydrolysis and breakdown. Its active ingredient is 50% citric acid, and the label notes that keeping spray water in the pH 4 to 5.5 range increases the half-life of most pesticides.

In most cases pHylo is added to the water before pesticides or other materials go into the spray tank. Its non-ionic surfactants reduce surface tension and give more uniform droplet size for better deposition and coverage, and its defoaming action helps reduce foaming in many tank-mix combinations.
