Botanicare CocoPro Propagation Plugs

CocoPro Propagation Plugs provide the benefits of high-quality coco with the convenience and consistency of a mineral wool starter plug. The coir blends are thoroughly washed and buffered and contain optimal percentages of coco fiber, pith and husk for increased root oxygen, moisture and nutrient retention, and air and gas exchange. Plugs carry low EC and salt levels with no nutrient charge, allowing a high degree of fertilization control, and the coir has an inherent cation exchange capacity that holds nutrients and releases them slowly over time. The pH sits naturally in an acceptable range for plant growth.

Plugs ship dehydrated and compressed for easy transport and storage in commercial growing facilities. To use, fully hydrate with a pH balanced nutrient solution of 5.8 to 6.2 at the feed rate the crop will receive once planted, allowing enough time for the coir to fully expand, then start propagations and transfer to CocoPro Cubes or CocoPro Bags once rooted. CocoPro is designed for high intensity growing environments such as greenhouse or indoor growing facilities and is not recommended for outdoor growing. The media is designed to work well with all Botanicare nutrients and supplements, and the coir is compostable once the cover is removed.
