Botanicare Clearex

Clearex is a flushing solution used to correct the buildup of nutrient salt deposits in soil and soilless grow media, one of the most common causes of crop failure. Over-fertilization and high concentrations of mineral based nutrients can cause shrinkage and death of plant cells due to the excess draw of water through cell walls, leading to irreversible wilting, nutrient lockout and crop failure. Clearex draws salts away from plant roots and grow media while helping to maintain equilibrium during periodic or pre-harvest flushing. Unlike flushing products that require a 10 to 14 day window prior to harvest, Clearex requires a smaller 3 to 7 day window, so operators can continue to maximize yield without reducing crucial aromatic compound production time.

Clearex is mixed at 2 tsp (5 ml) per gallon of water and used with pure water only, mixed well with pH adjusted. Between nutrient changes in recirculating systems, drain all existing nutrient solution, add only Clearex and fresh water, recirculate for approximately two hours, then drain completely and refill with fresh nutrient solution. For pre-harvest use, drain the reservoir, refill with Clearex and fresh water only, and run this solution during the last 3 to 7 days before harvest during the ripening phase. In container gardens, drench thoroughly between nutrient changes until there is 20% to 40% runoff, or drench daily pre-harvest until 10% to 20% runoff is achieved.
