Velifer Bioinsecticide/Miticide

Velifer is a biological fungal contact insecticide/miticide containing a proprietary BASF strain of Beauveria bassiana (PPRI 5339) in a plant-based oil dispersion. After application the spores contact the pest, germinate and penetrate the cuticle, then colonize and kill it; the pest does not need to eat the spores. Feeding stops quickly, with insect and mite death 24-48 hours after application, and the oil formulation delivers excellent plant safety without phytotoxicity or residue.

Velifer is for commercial greenhouse use only and can be applied as a foliar spray, soil-directed spray, drench, dip or fog. Apply when pests are first observed and repeat on a 3 to 14 day interval depending on pest pressure as part of an IPM program. It is selective, compatible with predators, parasitoids and greenhouse bumblebee pollinators, and tank mix compatible with many biological and conventional products.
