Multicomponent full spectrum antiscalant for large seawater and municipal reverse osmosis plants.

VITEC 5100 is a multicomponent antiscalant targeted at preventing scale precipitation in larger systems and is particularly cost effective in seawater and municipal reverse osmosis applications. This full spectrum antiscalant is also very effective in high iron and organic waters. It is NSF certified, compatible with polyamide membranes from all major manufacturers, and compatible with Avista coagulants.

VITEC 5100 is aimed at large seawater and municipal RO plants where cost in use dominates, and at well waters carrying high metals and organics. It generally does not require dilution on low flow rate systems. It is injected neat and continuously; if dilution is required the solution must not fall below 10 percent strength. Typical dosing is 0.5 to 2.0 mg/L in the supply water, the lowest dose band in the VITEC line.

• Controls calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate and silica scale

• Freeze point 30 F (-1.1 C) - the highest in the VITEC line, so protect from freezing in cold climates
• Appearance clear to amber liquid, complete water solubility
• NSF/ANSI 60 approved where RO permeate is intended for potable or drinking water use
• Also compatible with Avista coagulants
• Injected continuously upstream of the RO feed pump or guard cartridge filter to ensure full mixing
• Dilution water must be RO permeate or deionized water; softened water only if neither is available
• Compatible with polyamide membranes from all major manufacturers
• Unopened shelf life 12 months when stored between 45 and 100 F (7 to 35 C)
• Dosage verified by phosphonate testing using the Hach UV digestion method
• Aluminum, brass, copper and mild steel are not recommended for use with this product
