Broad spectrum liquid antiscalant and dispersant for brackish, waste and seawater reverse osmosis.

VITEC 3000 is a powerful, broad spectrum liquid antiscalant and dispersant, highly effective at low dose rates in preventing scales occurring in a wide range of feedwater such as brackish, wastewater and seawater. It contains high and low molecular weight components which are proven to prevent scale and disperse fine particles. It is NSF certified and compatible with polyamide membranes from all major manufacturers, and with Avista coagulants.

VITEC 3000 is used across semiconductor, food and beverage, power, and oil and gas operations on surface, well and waste waters. It is injected continuously as supplied. Unlike the other VITEC grades it is a concentrate suited to high on-site dilution: the diluted solution must not fall below 1 percent strength, and deionized water is required for any dilution below 10 percent. Typical dosing is 2 to 5 mg/L in the supply water.

• Freeze point 21 F (-6.1 C); appearance clear to amber liquid, complete water solubility
• Typical dose 2 to 5 mg/L in supply water
• NSF/ANSI 60 approved where RO permeate is intended for potable or drinking water use
• UK Drinking Water Inspectorate approved and conforms to EN 15040
• Dilutable to 1 percent strength, the lowest floor in the VITEC line
• Also compatible with Avista coagulants
• Injected continuously upstream of the RO feed pump or guard cartridge filter to ensure full mixing
• Dilution water must be RO permeate or deionized water; softened water only if neither is available
• Compatible with polyamide membranes from all major manufacturers
• Unopened shelf life 12 months when stored between 45 and 100 F (7 to 35 C)
• Dosage verified by phosphonate testing using the Hach UV digestion method
• Aluminum, brass, copper and mild steel are not recommended for use with this product
