Avista - RoClean L211 High pH Liquid Membrane Cleaner
Brand: Avista
RoClean L211 High pH Liquid Membrane Cleaner
High pH low foaming liquid cleaner for colloidal silica, clay and organic foulants.
RoClean L211 is a high pH liquid cleaner formulated to remove colloidal material, clay, organics and organic foulants from reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membranes. It uses a proprietary blend of dispersants, low foaming surfactants and chelants, and is highly buffered to resist pH change during cleaning. It is particularly effective on humic and fulvic organics arising in surface waters, and is suitable for nanofiltration and other membranes with lower cleaning pH limits.
RoClean L211 is commonly used as a maintenance cleaner for scheduled cleaning, being highly effective yet gentle enough for daily application where required. Fill the cleaning tank with RO permeate or deionized water and heat to the maximum temperature acceptable under the membrane manufacturer guidelines. Add enough L211 for a 2 percent solution by weight for moderate to severe fouling or 1 percent for mild fouling. Run through each stage individually for at least 60 minutes, with an optional soak of up to 8 hours, then flush each pressure vessel with RO permeate.
